Dominic Jones

My story

Dominic has a 35-year track record in law and finance at Slaughter and May, Clifford Chance, Mourant and Morgan Stanley, and is dual-qualified in London and Paris. He is also an entrepreneur and experienced Chair in the private equity, wealth management and leisure sectors. 

Dominic has two passions: the law, and innovation and disruption in fast-growing businesses. Aavagard hits that sweet spot.

Dominic’s career evolved from prestigious law firms to in-house roles, including at Morgan Stanley, where he excelled as both as an internal lawyer and investment banker. He later became a partner at Mourant, shaping financial services with his innovative approach to the legal sector. Dominic held CEO and group board positions with leading fund administrators and has since worked with numerous companies, including private equity fund sponsor Nordic Capital and Ravenscroft,  whereas Chair,  he  played a key role in the successful sale of Ravenscroft’s wealth management business to Titan Wealth in 2024.

An accidental restaurateur, Dominic also co-owns JPRestaurants with his brother, bringing his entrepreneurial spirit to the culinary world. His ability to seamlessly blend diverse industries showcases his versatility and forward-thinking mindset.

Dominic is married with five children and cherishes time spent with his wife, family, and friends in wild nature. Whether on the water or running in the countryside, his favourite spots for down time include the Violet Bank off the coast of Jersey during a low spring tide, Paris and western France and in the kitchen preparing food.
